Raleigh Unrushed offers an equitable coworking space for yoga and Pilates teachers—or any practitioners who need affordable, professional space for seeing clients.
Unlike a studio model, Raleigh Unrushed allows you to run your own business and control your own revenue. From pricing to client management, it’s all your call.
Your membership fee includes use of equipment, props, internet, sound system, bathrooms, kitchenette, and more—all you need to do is bring yourself and your clients, do your thing, and go.
What we're about
Once you’re an experienced teacher who has built relationships with clients, you should be the one in charge of the revenue you earn from your skilled labor.
My intention is that our low-low pricing (and my handling the space management details so you don’t have to) will make it feasible for you to deepen your relationship with your clients, grow your business, try new offerings, offer sliding scale or community outreach if you want—essentially, to build a business that’s meaningful and sustainable for you.
This membership will be built on three themes:
Equity & Transparency
Membership fees will always be as low as possible, to support a wide range of business sizes. Whether you see clients one-on-one, teach small group classes, or run 30-person workshops, you’ll find a sustainable space here.
These rates are set just high enough to keep Raleigh Unrushed solvent, and that’s about it. You'll always be able to get as much or as little info as you want in terms of how the space operates, what things cost, and where your money goes.
Simple, Welcoming Space
Your membership includes professional services meant to keep your business operations simple and your overhead low, such as:
Equipment and props
Internet
Sound system
Janitorial
Laundry for towels, blankets, etc.
Kitchenette and filtered water
Co-Created Community
Teachers can collaborate and cross-pollinate as little or as much as they want. There will be opportunities -- always optional -- for networking, sharing ideas, and collaborating on new ventures.
This model works best with teachers who are oriented toward inclusivity and long-term community building. We’ll welcome experienced teachers of all orientations and identities; teachers of color, teachers of size, and LGBTQ teachers will find strong support here.
